Your Book isn’t completely finished when your writing is done!

Wow, you’ve finished writing and content editing, and copy editing AND format editing your 10 or so chapters, so you believe you are all finished and ready to publish your book.

Sorry you are incorrect! There are several other sections of your book that you need to put together and we call them at NOW Publishing, Book Parts.

Listed below with our best practices recommendations are each of these sections.  We guide our published authors through each of these Book Parts keeping on the marketability of their book in addition to conforming to what potential buyers of their genre of book are looking for.

  • About the Author – Biography

-Word Count Approximately=150

-Suggestion: Color Professional Headshot

-Suggestion: Include Social Media Contact info

  • Dedication

-Word Count Approximately=150 or less

-Suggestion: 1 page only

  • Forward

-Word Count Approximately=500 – 750

-Suggestion: Choose someone with a built in network

-Suggestion: choose someone to lend credibility to your title

-Suggestion: Ask for more than Forward, for potential back of book recommendations

  • TOC – Table of Contents

-Word Count Approximately=10 Chapters recommended

-Suggestion: Intriguing Titles & interesting subtopics

  • Images Section – (optional)

-Word Count Approximately= 6 Pages or less

-Suggestion: All images in the same section will keep cost low

-Suggestion: High resolutions images only

-Suggestion: Nice captions for interest to potential buyer during pre-sale process

  • Index – (optional)

-Suggestion: Nice feature for Ebooks as clickable links

-Suggestion: Hire experienced editor

  • Acknowledgement – (optional)
