When people ask me what our company does, I tell them that we aren’t a publisher—we are a storyteller. We bring people’s stories to life. Stories with meaning and impact. Stories that make a difference. We’ve published dozens of those books, but the ones that bother us the most are the stories that don’t get told.
In the four years we have been in business we have met with three potential clients, each a potential author who had an amazing life story to share. They all took the time to have phone conferences with us that turned into sit-down, face-to-face meetings. They all planned to work with NOW Publishing to write and publish their book. But none of those books happened, because all three died prematurely before their book was finished.
The world will never hear the stories of Connie and Valerie, and then two weeks ago my friend Andy. Each of them had a unique story that would have impacted the people who read their books, and now those stories won’t be shared.
While we were having those meetings, we were working on our own book, The 90-Day Author, something we give away as a free download because it is our mission to publish the voice of purpose in this world. We provide this book to anyone who asks us for it and now we are offering an online program to teach people how to write and publish their book without NOW Publishing. Why are we doing this? Because we want everyone to be able to tell their stories, and to have the tools they need to get their message out to the world. In these precarious times where we are all facing our own mortality, we want to encourage everyone to stop putting off today what you know you need to do for tomorrow.
